FAQ’s

‘Questions? I’ve got you covered!’

I’ve created guides full of all the information you’ll need for your shoot. Simply fill out my contact form and I’ll send it your way. In the meantime, you might find the answer to your question right here in the FAQs below!

Where is the shoot?

I'm based in Armthorpe, Doncaster & work from my cosy, purpose built home studio filled with natural light.

What types of shoots are available?

I offer a range of natural & relaxed photography sessions including pregnancy, newborn, sitter, family & one-year shoots.

When is best to bring my newborn?

Ideally between 7–14 days, when your baby is still sleepy & curled up. Don't worry if that window passes—older newborns are just as beautiful. I’ll tailor the session to suit your little one.

When is the best time for a pregnancy shoot?

Between 28-34 weeks, when your bump is beautifully round but you’re still feeling comfortable enough to move around & enjoy the experience.

How do I know when to book my newborn shoot for if I'm still pregnant?

If you're expecting, it's best to book your session based on 10 days past your due date. This is obviously flexible & can be moved if baby has other idea’s. It generally works well as a guide & we’ll keep in touch when your due date approaches.

What if my baby is unsettled?

It’s completely normal! The session is baby-led, with plenty of time for cuddles, feeds & settling. There’s no rush—we go at your baby’s pace.

How long is a shoot?

Newborn sessions on average last around one & a half hours. This gives us time to relax, feed & settle as needed. Sitter, one year & family sessions are a little shorter at usually 45–60 minutes. Just enough time for lots of natural smiles & moments, before your little ones get too bored or tired.

What is a sitter shoot?

A sitter shoot is typically done when your baby is around 6–8 months old & confidently sitting up on their own—but not yet crawling. It’s the perfect age to capture their growing personality, gorgeous expressions & those irresistible baby rolls!
