Hi, I'm Alexis...but everyone calls me Lex.

Photographer. Wife. Mum. Tea drinker. Baker. Professional list-maker.

I'm the face behind Alexis Stevenson Photography, where I create natural, timeless photographs in my calm, cosy home studio, filled with beautiful natural light.

I've been photographing families for over 20 years, and although my career has taken me from a busy high street studio, to life as a mobile photographer, to running sessions from my dining room, I finally have the studio I'd always dreamed of creating. A space that feels warm, welcoming and completely relaxed from the moment you walk through the door.

When you book a session with me, I don't expect perfectly behaved toddlers or babies who sleep on cue. Real life is welcome here. We'll pause for feeds, cuddle upset little ones, chat about holidays, Netflix or what we're making for tea, and somehow, in amongst all of that, we'll create beautiful photographs you'll treasure for years.

My style has always been simple, natural and baby-led. No complicated posing. No pressure. Just genuine moments and beautiful light.

One of my favourite things about this job is getting to know the families who come through my door. I've photographed so many little ones from bump to baby, first birthdays and beyond, and it's such a privilege to watch families grow. Many clients return year after year, and quite a few have become friends along the way.

I genuinely love what I do and I hope that shines through in every session.
