Emma Footitt
Jemima has a special place in my studio—her newborn portraits still hang proudly on my wall and are a favourite with everyone who visits. So, it was such a joy to welcome her back for her one year photoshoot. She hasn’t lost her natural knack in front of the camera and was as full of character as ever.
We started the session with her lovely mum and dad joining in for a few images. I always encourage parents to take part—not only does it help your little one settle in, but it also gives you those precious photos of all three of you together, something so difficult to capture at home.
Emma chose Jemima’s outfits beautifully—soft pastel tones with a tutu that added both shape and charm. And Jemima? Well, she brought all the cheekiness and energy you’d expect from a little girl who’s been walking confidently since nine months old. She loves nothing more than to climb and explore, keeping her parents on their toes!
This shoot is a perfect example of how a one year session is about so much more than just a cake smash. It’s about celebrating your child’s development, their growing personality, and capturing those fleeting moments you’ll want to remember forever.
Jemima, you’re always welcome back in the studio!
